Rocket Jr. Visual Interface designers create visual interface designs for: desktop, web, mobile, interactive television, medical and consumer electronics. At Rocket we work with some of the most prestigious companies in the world on some of the most exciting projects in the industry. Jr. Visual Designers have a contributing role, yet they are expected to learn through their exposure to complex and challenging projects.

You are:

• a professional Visual Designer with 2+ experience
• understanding of Graphical User Interface Design and software development
• experience d at working with teams including: other designers and project managers

• are organized, able to act independently, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment

• an advanced user of Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator and have working knowledge of HTML

• Design screen mockups, including splash screens, icons, banners, and illustrations
• Collaborate effectively with Rocket and client teams to gather requirements, create prototypes and produce final deliverables

• Manage text and graphic asset resources throughout project

Rocket Sr. Project Managers are will be responsible for managing teams of GUI design professionals for a variety of digital product projects, according to pre-determined requirements.

Software Project Manager Experience- Highly Desirable
Other Project Management experience may be considered

You are:

• at least 5 years experienced in professional project management
• at least 3 years experienced in professional consulting
• experienced at managing professional Graphical User Interface design teams in a software development, yet creative environment

• Coordinate and manage team members and activities to execute deliverables as scheduled
• Pro-actively manage client and team expectations
• Serve as the liaison between the Rocket project and client teams
• Ensure assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting client’s needs, business objectives, and design requirements
• Ensure all work produced throughout the project meet Rocket’s standards of professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail
• Work directly with the team creative leads (and creative team) to produce project deliverables
• Lead or assist in facilitation of design exercise sessions, status meetings, reviews, etc.
• Identify and develop mitigation plan for potential project risks. Manage and track project issues list and risks. Work with team leads to resolve issues.
• Ensure Quality Assurance has been implemented for all deliverables
• Manage change control
• Coordinate project tasks with other individuals/departments to meet established deadlines
• Work directly with team sales and creative leads to create, monitor, modify and execute the overall project plan, which includes milestones, checkpoints, critical path, dependencies, track touch points and client sign-offs
• Follow account needs and report up-coming potential projects
• Identify opportunities for and collaborate with Rocket business development team to sell design projects to clients
• Assist in the development of Scope of Work documentation for existing clients
